Recently I switched to using an iPhone 6+ full-time. The size of the screen took very little time to get used to and was very enjoyable, but what I found that I loved the most was the significantly increased battery life over the iPhone 6. I could easily get through a normal workday without plugging in, and at the end of the day I had enough juice to make it through the night in case I forgot to plug it in before nodding off.
There is, however, one time when even the iPhone 6+ won't cut it in terms of battery life: traveling. When you're stuck in airports or on flights with very little to do, you inevitably reach for your mobile devices for entertainment. This heavy usage will drain even the largest batteries quickly. You can either set up camp near an outlet or hover around a charging station like a vulture feeding on its prey. Or you could do what I've done — buy a gigantic portable battery.
The Jackery Giant+ is one of many, but having tried a ton of them, I can easily say that it's my favorite. It is the perfect balance of size to capacity, and is built well enough to withstand the abuse of regular travel.
At 12,000 mAh, this big boy is capable of bringing your iPhone 6 from 0% to full 4 or 5 times on a single charge. It also has two USB ports that can simultaneously charge two devices, and one of those is even a high current 2A that provides enough juice to charge an iPad Air. It's incredibly satisfying to know that I could be away from a charger for 4 or 5 days and stay completely juiced with just this little hunk of portable power.
It's surprisingly small, charges via USB, has a built-in flashlight, is made to last, and comes in four different colors. What more could you ask for?
