If you're shooting a fully manual camera, you really need a light meter. You may be good at eyeballing exposure, but you can often find yourself in bizarre or unusual lighting conditions that you don't want to risk wasting film because of improper exposures. Just get a light meter and be sure you're doing things right.
The LUMU is a neat solution if you want a light meter, but don't want another bulky gizmo stuffed in your bag. The light sensor plugs into the headphone jack on your iPhone or iPod touch and communicates with the LUMU app to give you accurate light readings. The app is lightweight, simple, beautiful, and just as capable as a standalone light meter.
The LUMU light sensor comes with a nicely designed leather pouch that can be attached to your camera strap, and also a lanyard that allows you to carry your LUMU around your neck. It's made of CNC milled aluminum and is available in both black and silver.
