Once upon a time, Apple included a dock with every single iPhone. Those days are long past, and while Apple made a dock for the iPhone 5 and 5s, no such product exists for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Luckily thanks to a successfully funded Kickstarter project, we now have the Spool Dock from Quell & Company.
The Spool Dock features a metal base that attaches securely to your desk or table with micro-suction pads, ensuring that when you lift up your iPhone, the dock doesn't come with it. On top is a North American white oak base covered in merino wool felt, which swivels effortlessly on top of the base. The action of turning the wood surface wraps the lightning cable internally, either extending or shortening the amount of cable you need. This may be the first dock that doubles as a cable management system.
The Spool Dock is crafted in the USA, and looks as beautiful with your iPhone docked as it does on its own. It will fit any of the iPhone 5 models, the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, and the iPad mini. The docking gap is also adjustable to accommodate Apple's cases or others of a similar size.
