As an aspiring healthy-eater, but overall busy guy, I'm always looking for ways to make eating at home easier, more efficient, and healthier. It started with Instacart (which I still love), but discovering Summerland really changed my game.
Summerland is a company based in Southern California that brings produce from local farms directly to your door. Each week a box is assembled with a different selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, or a combination of both, and is delivered fresh on the day of your choosing. The produce itself is fantastic, and getting different things each weeks keeps you on your toes. It's way fun to get a box and start building a list of things you can make with this week's collection of stuff.
They also have a market where you can purchase other groceries too. It's a small selection, but it's very high quality, artisan stuff. You can add items to your weekly delivery manually, or even schedule certain items to be delivered each week. The scheduling is very flexible.
I don't like grocery shopping, and struggling to find great produce in stores makes a miserable situation even worse. Summerland solves a common problem for busy professionals like myself, and goes a long way to help spread great food to people that want to eat right.
